The rigor I adopted in creating some of the pieces was the same as that used in scientific illustration.

My desire was to recreate variants of the íris, as real as possible, and then diverge from this conceptual constraint, creating some other pieces like Papyrus, that are parametric abstractions of the first models.

Technique:
Digital sculpture, printed in a single piece in biodegradable and recyclable PLA

This is a research project on sculpture and promoting the inclusion of people with visual impairments as consumers of art. At the moment Íris project is on display in one of the rooms of @MU.SA - Museu das Artes de Sintra and it will be there until mid-February 2024.
